Default Smokers...

Hey all,

I wanted to say hi and see what’s going on with everyone. Let me just say that I was a smoker for seven years and not a day goes by now that I don’t wish I never picked up a cigarette. I’m not here to chastise anybody, but I do have some solutions if anybody is really thinking about quitting smoking to prevent cancer. When I made the leap a few months ago, I did use the Nicorette gum which got a little pricey. I still use it, but my cravings aren’t so bad that I feel like morphing into the Hulk. I know it’s tough and you probably get antsy just thinking about it, but let me tell you; you suffer the consequences. Even though I stopped, I wake up every morning coughing and can barely speak a lot of times. Again, I’m not preaching but if anyone wants help I’m leaving a few links for items that will help. Get them on here instead of spending $100 at the store every week like I did. I’ve been getting my Nicorette from here for about 2 months. Feel free to ask me any questions as a former smoker.

Good Luck!

Smoking causes lung cancer. For some illnesses caused by smoking, smokers have a 50% or a 100% greater chance if getting that illness than never smokers. Stomach cancer and pneumonia are like that. A 100% greater risk doesn’t mean 100% chance of getting the illness, it means double the chances of getting the illness as compared with the chances if you never smoked.

For lung cancer, the increased risks are much greater. So a man who continues to smoke until he dies is has 2300% increased risk of dieing of lung cancer. Smoking causes lung cancer because the smoke itself contain known carcinogenic chemicals such as benzo(a)pyrene and NNK. As these chemicals are deposited into the lungs year on year they cause DNA damage, oxidative stress and inflammation, which promote the initiation and growth of tumors. It is essentially the DNA damage, and the inability of the body to repair that damage, that results in cells starting to divide and multiply in a deviant way that ends up growing into a malignant tumor.

I do know that many states have cessation programs. In Indiana, they offer free gums and patches to quit. Gums and patches work for many Americans trying to quit smoking but I've also heard good things about Chantix for those who just can't quit. You will want to talk to your doctor about any prescription medicines that can help you quit smoking. It's a hard road but it's well worth it to you and your family.

Smoking is injurious to health as we all known since our childhood but still prefer to smoke and fall a victim of various diseases. As we all know that cigaratee contains that stimulates the human nervous system and even it leads to the cause of various fatal symptoms. It is better to control yourself and try to smoke DRY Fruit cigaratees which are non-tobacco containing.

There's some really effective herbs that can help as well which takes away the cravings. Lobelia, St. John's Wort, and Catnip to name a few. Drinking them as a tea is the most soothing and effective. Local health foodstores usually carry them and they're very safe.

I do not smoke anymore. However, I use the smoke about 10-15 cigarettes a day for about 3 years ago I was 10/13 until I was 17 when I finally quit for good. Now I have not smoked since, and I have no intentions of both. Smoking is a bad habit.
